Our Values
Transformation
Jazanne Arts believes in the transformational power of the arts to improve quality of life, enabling the potential for positive change in individuals and communities.
Inclusion
We believe in the social model of disability and will always challenge discrimination and barriers to the arts, working tirelessly to include diverse, disabled and non-disabled young and older people, their families and carers. We work with diverse/disabled artists in a multisensory style to ensure access for all.
Artistic Excellence
We strive to deliver professional and participatory arts of the highest quality. We will continue to work with excellent artists, promoting older creatives and encouraging ongoing training and development for all our artists and volunteers.
Empowerment
Jazanne Arts will always be led by the interests and concerns expressed by diverse older people including those living with dementia and those from Caribbean communities, their voice is central to everything we do. The safety and wellbeing of our participants and audiences is paramount to all of our work.
Resilience
We build resilience in our audiences and participants through our work and strive to improve our financial sustainability and minimise our environmental impact.
Partnership
We work in partnership with organisations and artists who share our values in order to increase the impact and awareness of our work.
